The real problem with Aluminum floors is that horse urine is very very corrosive to Aluminum. The trailer manufacturers usually recommend that you remove mats and hose the trailer down after each use. Like that is going to happen!

My solution was clean, sand blast, acid wash, fix the thin spots with fiberglass, then have the floor coated with truck bed urethance lining. (I used Rhino lining brand).
