Re: [RC] Riding at Night - Sisu West Ranch

One October night many years ago I was charging down the shoulder of a WI road well after dark. Sketer, who had a passing trot, was going somewhere between 12 and 15 MPH. Suddenly accompanied by a scream, he shyed about 4 feet into the road, and continued on without missing a beat. Some poor woman in dark clothing was walking her dogs down the shoulder. Sketer, thankgoodness, saw her before running her down and noone was hurt.

I stopped riding fast on overcast nights after that.
