RE: [RC] [RC] Sunday ride opinions? - Jennifer Adam

On some multi-day fun rides around here (not endurance - mostly just a little riding and a whole lot of camping, BBQ, and friends) they organize a Sunday morning "Cowboy Church" where everyone gathers in their lawn chairs and boots and a local pastor gives a sermon. Everyone prays together with the wonderful sound of horses in the background, and if you're lucky someone will have a guitar along for some music. IMHO, best church service I've ever been to... I know it's tons of work organizing a ride to begin with, but maybe those who were interested could do something like this??

Well, I'm not in your region, but if I were, you'd lose mine...?
Some people do still go to church on Sundays, and being the pastor of a
church now, it is already tough enough to have to drive home in the
night on Saturday nights if I want to ride.? Perhaps I'm in the
minority, but since you asked...

Hi guys,

I am considering switching the
Foxcatcher ride in Maryland for spring of
2007 to a date in May.
?Right now the day after the Kentucky Derby seems
like a
decent date. ?But that's a Sunday.

Would you still be
willing to do a ride on a Sunday? ?This is not a
multiday
ride. ?Just a 25 and a 50 on one day. ?For people traveling

from a longer distance, you could drive in to camp on Saturday, and
take
Monday off work to drive home. ?Instead of taking Friday
off to drive
down, and driving home on Sunday.

Think I'll
lose any entries?
