RE: [RC] Older... - heidi

I did my first endurance ride in 1973, just a couple of months before my 18th birthday.  I'd been riding since I was 3 or 4.

My dad, on the other hand, thought it looked like fun and decided to join me in the sport--he did his first ride when he was 60.  He did all 6 days of a multiday when he was 68 and competed until he was over 70.

Okay, since you all are reminiscing about the past, I am curious as to what age you started endurance riding. I started riding when I was 2, but just started "endurancing" 2 years ago when I was, uh-hem.... 34. My goal is to keep riding in this sport, until I am 65 at least. I know, from reading articles and posts, that this is a totally attainable goal! I will ride until I cant, and no sooner.
Sabrina (born in 1970 so I totally missed the 60's...dang it)
