Re: [RC] roundbales? - Karen Everhart

Hi Keith,

I have 20 horses here so feeding anything BUT round bales is impractical.  We love the convenience and after many years have never experienced any of the negative issues occasionally attributed to feeding rounds.  A good feeder to keep the horses from pulling out the hay and wasting it is a good investment.  I have one from Hi Qual and 3 others from a farm store.  The Hi Qual is MUCH better but costs about $500.00 (I splurged last year).

Subject: [RC] roundbales?

We have reached the point in # of equines that I am seriously thinking about roundbales to keep cost and work down a bit.
How many of you use roundbales and what do you think about them?
Keith
