Re: [RC] Flyspot treatments? - Diane TrefethenAllergies are almost whimsical. My 9 yr old got a few raised spots from penicillin shots and then REALLY broke out with hive-like swellings that oozed, from tick bites when the ticks had never bothered him before. This spring he back to not reacting to tick bites. Throughout the reaction phase and now that he is back to "normal", I used Roll~On by Farnam to discourage flies in his ears and on his belly. No reaction at all to the Roll~On.As a side note, he used to be a bit squirrelly about having anyone messing with his ears. Now when he sees the little white bottle in my hand, he literally shoves his poll into my chest, "Here, Mom. Right here. MY ears." Who needs words with body language like that? <bg> Lani M Olson wrote: This is probably a dumb question, but if your horse is allergic to commercial fly sprays (develops huge hives on the belly and itches badly) would they also be allergic to the spot-ons? =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
