[RC] Muscle exercises for EPM horse - Kathleen A. Crothers

My horse had epm 5 yrs. ago and has recovered and gone on to complete 1500
miles since then but he still has muscle loss in his rear especially over the
croup. I noticed this year that he has muscled up a lot in the shoulder and
neck and think he is using his front end to compensate for lack of muscling
over the rear. He has always felt like he was using his rear to me and the
rides photos show him getting under himself very nicely at the trot. The only
problem I've noticed is that he is much slower going up and down the steep
hills compared to the other horses on the rides. Is is possible to build up
the muscles after the nerves have been damaged and what exercises could I use
to do that? Thanks for your help. Kathy Crothers and Texas Dually
