Re: [RC] Kiger Mustang ? - Laney Humphrey

There are now about 10 registries for different varieties of what are broadly called Spanish Mustangs or Colonial Spanish Horses. Kiger mustangs are genetically in this group and come from specific Wild Horse Management areas in Oregon. There are several registries for Kigers and they are also eligible for registration in the Horse of the Americas registry by inspection. Horses gathered by the BLM from the areas they come from would also be registered as BLM mustangs. For general information about Spanish Mustangs go to http://spanishmustang.org/ for lots of general information.
