Becky's Shine 'n Shine has a stupid little loop that adds about 3 miles (is that right Maryben, 3 miles?) and the ride usually starts at the campgrounds instead of the Quicksilver staging area which adds about 2 miles of controlled start along a road. I would rather have it that way than run without that 5 miles of "trail". ... On our 100 mile ride, we need to run the last few miles up a long, fairly steep grade, and boy! do the riders complain about that!Powerhouse Grade has character! Maybe some riders complain but plenty speak of that grade with great respect.
