[RC] Rides to get ready for first 100 - suggestions please - Ridecamp Guest

==========================================

Hi all. I'm starting to plan my 2006 ride season with a view to doing our
first 100 in June.

My horse is an 11 yo arabian mare with 836 miles (CTR and endurance (165
miles)) to her credit since starting the sport of long distance in 2003.

In 2004, we did 4 two day CTR's (a 30/31 mile; a 40/40 mile; a 30/30 mile; and,
a 32.5/32.5 mile) plus five other one day rides.

In 2005, we did 6 CTR's and 3 endurance rides. We placed in the Top Ten in all
3 endurance rides and even won BC in one.

So, with that bit of background, this is the ride schedule I'm planning in
order to be ready for the 100 in June:

April - Chicken Chase 25/50 = 75 miles
May 6 - 50 mile endurance ride
May 20 - 25 mile CTR
June 3 - Top of the Rock 100

How does that schedule look? Is that enough miles to be ready for the 100 on
June 3?

Is Top of the Rock a good ride to do a first 100? I live in Ontario, Canada.
What is the terrain, camping, etc. like?

Thanks. I look forward to your input.
Kris
