Note that my husband is not heavy at all. If he really attempts to gain weight, he can maybe make it up to 190, but his average weight, especially in the summer, is about 175-180. In addition, Mazzie is a well-built Morgan with a very strong, short back and lots of bone - however, she also has the short, stocky neck, so there isn't much length to balance out his upper body. Karen, I have a 36 inseam (6 ft. tall)....and more many years rode a very stocky Arab mare, not even 14.1. My legs were longer than hers, and down close to her knees. Her round barrel took up a lot of leg, and she was also short necked. It worked out just fine..... However, I also briefly had a little Arab/appy same size but very delicate and narrow. My vet said I was too tall and that anything I did with my upper body would affect her (even turning my head).....I sold her to a great home, a lady not much over 5 ft., much better match.
