[RC] Price of horse - Ridecamp Guest

==========================================

Hi all,
I've been looking at prices of endurance horses for several weeks now. I
noticed "JESTA BANDETTOBEY" (http://www.globalendurance.com/sale.html) used to
be priced at $15,000. Now he's priced at $30,000. Granting this horse has an
impressive record and probably quite capable of winning Tevis and other
difficult races, my question is: if no one bought him at $15,000, it is logical
to expect someone will buy him at US$30,000? More generally, how does one price
an endurance horse like this? Any insight would be appreciated.
Thanks very much in advance.
