[RC] Batteries and LQ trailer - Karen Williams

What about solar panels? I have one on the roof of my trailer and it does an excellent job of charging my batteries. Cheaper, quieter, cleaner and easier to cart around than a generator.

I have recently been doing some reading up on similiar
issues. For charging a battery, the most efficient
way to do it without 110 is to use a generator to run
a battery charger. This is more efficient than either
running the p.u. or hooking the battery to the
generator. A 600 whatever generator can run a 6 amp
charger.
