[RC] Parelli,et al,and the good old boys - Christy Hawes

Ray O-
I understand why you would say such things if you've only seem the OLD Parelli program.
It was revamped in 2004. The DVD sets now feature LINDA not Pat and his fast talk. There's no jumping picnic tables for a quick buck.

Linda is a better communicator and teacher. She demonstrates what not to do. She demos hot, potentially dangerous and very challenging horses. These are not "made" horses that she's using. If you would watch the program, it would be very obvious to an experienced horse person like yourself that some of the horses are learning things for the first time.

You really must view level I and II of the new version. I think you would be shocked.
I've seen everyone else's clinics, read all the books, and mentored under someone that specialized in abused horses with major issues. NOTHING has worked for me like PNH.

There is no horse that is too smart for Parelli when it is done correctly. My mare is very clever. She's heard boss, etc. and very respected among her peers. She chooses which humans she likes... and yet she chooses to run across 70 acres to see me AND whinnies a greeting. Nobody else can get the heard to come in- they've got green grass and no incentive! It's quite a compliment to my Parelli skills that she does this. Every time she brings in the heard my heart smiles.

Don't be ashamed of being a Parrelli advocate! I do think Chico the Rebel would make a monkey out of Pat himself.(Chico thinks my Parelli book ground work is great fun.) The problem with the clinician's approaches is that you have to be willing to sift through SO much sh___ to get to the gold.Parelli speaks so poorly;his tapes are nearly incoherent!I think it is significant that some of the best horses are I see are "made" by guys who wouldn't be caught dead at a clinic. These guys get a horse on the payroll FAST,and sell them for a big profit after they have been on the field trial circuit for a while. Most of them are better horses than most clinic enthusiasts will ever ride. I think it is also significant that the clinicians no longer seem take HORSES in for training, which would require them to produce results. No,they are on mission now in the wider world to take in PEOPLE...
