[RC] Eye protection - Ridecamp Guest

==========================================

I wear safety glasses designed for construction workers. These are glasses
that fit comfortably under a construction hard had. I just buy them from the
local safety store that sells gear for construction workers. There have been
some ride-camp entries about particular brands, like the Wiley-X SG-1. I?ve
got to check out this brand, thanks! I started wearing safety glasses after I
came literally one inch away from loosing my eye when my horse spooked into
some brush at a watering hole. Even when riding in the desert one is going to
come upon brush. Not only can one get glaucoma from exposure to the sun, there
is also pterygium. This is basically a callous that forms on the eye as a
result of sun, dust, saltwater, etc. It looks like a cloudy film on edge of the
eye ball. Many surfers get this. It is extremely painful to remove. I know
several people who have had this removed and they NEVER go out without eye
protection.
