I sort of agree with Maryben....I have had skito pads hanging around for 10 years...when the fleece got worn down I still kept them as back-up pads...I never had one "fall apart."  I myself prefer the patterened materials.....the cordura always faded, but the broken arrow tops always looked new.

That is really weird.  I have one of the prototype models the lady that invented them made for me to try.  It did break in half (frozen Nevada ride) but it still works once it is warmed up.....mb
