[RC] Horse Slaughter, again - Amy Cieri

Kim,I responded directly to your post on slaughter for human consumption.

I knew I'll get flamed for that one but I don't care. Unwanted horses need an outlet. Being a nurse I've seen more than most people and have hardened myself to the cruelties of the world. It's still my opinion that the short term suffering of transport and destruction of these horses is much less than the years of neglect they could possibly suffer.

As for education on the other aspects of these amendments, sure we need to be aware of things. Saying that transporting any sore horse from whatever, show etc., isn't allowed is absurd. Transporting a horse to slaughter that has a broken leg shouldn't be done either but we're talking about 2 different things affected by one statement.

Send the unwanted poor souls to a quick death and bring our sore endurance horses home for god sake. Geez, flame on ridecamp. We're not all stupid.
