If I remember correctly, when I purchase Red Dyed Diesel, for only off the road (farm or ranch) use, it is $0.50 /gal cheaper than road Diesel. Unless there is an exception for homemade fuel in the law, to not pay road fuel tax can result in real legal problems, at least in MT.
