Re: [RC] Shagy-bred horses' National Ride, - SandyDSA

Is it me or is Dennis just working his undies out of a twist? I did not think Angie was insulting at all. In fact, considering the subject latter, thought she was forthright WITHOUT being nasty. Dennis, you posted this thread as a guest and then didn't like what youthought you heard. I agree with Angie - and Heidi and others - I had looked into Shagyas years ago (and frankly was treated really rudely as if we Arabian owners were not up to snuff or something), and as much as I liked the HORSES and very much WANTED one, chose not to because I felt a real aloof attitude. IN any case, i did not sense that in Angie or anyone else - and point SHOULD be well taken - to pin a horse as a champion in a sport, it hardly speaks well for that horse to use the lowest measure of accomplishment, especially knowing that they are capable of so much more. LD has its place and is an accomplishment (just ask 75% of people who ever get on theirs horses - they look at you like you are NUTS to ride all that way!), but wow, not championship challenge level I don't think - with all due respect.
