RE: [SPAM] [RC] coggins tests - heidi

Hi all,
how do you ridecampers that go from state to state each monch for rides,
deal with the coggins testing? Do you have to get a new coggins test
every 30 days? I was told here (CA.) it costs $100- for one coggins?! Do
you have to pay this on top of your entry fees every 30 days to be able
to do rides out of state? How does this work? Thanks, Tara

Most states accept Coggins tests for 6 months. Health certificates, on
the other hand, are usually only good for 30 days, with some
exceptions. So while you don't have to keep re-doing the Coggins test,
you do usually have to get a health certificate for each out-of-state
trip, unless you are in and traveling to states that have a cooperative
longer-term health certificate agreement.

Heidi
