[RC] We got a cow (very OT, please reply privately) - Tracey LomaxTitle: We got a cow (very OT, please reply privately)I’ve just acquired an orphaned heifer calf, about four months. She was found by the local vet’s wife, at the river, covered in sores and maggots. She’s now at my house (well, of course she is….). She’s four months old, has a sore on her elbow which we’re cleaning out as it was infected. Vet isn’t sure whether there is permanent damage to that elbow so she may have a permanent limp. Now, I know squat diddly about cows, other than that they make milk and beef….somewhere….and it comes nicely packed in little boxes / packets. So I need to learn about cows sharpish. Anyone willing to give me a Cows101 course?
