[RC] When to exercise after cough - andreab

Hi

Hoping to get some advice. My horse started with a snotty nose and a cough on
Saturday.
Sunday we gave him an antibiotic and something for the cough - he was coughing
frequently. Vet said that his lungs still sounded clear so all upper
respiratory. This
morning, Monday, he is much better and we are yet to hear him cough again. I
need to note
that this can either be a common cold or an allergy. He does suffer from
allergies which
seem to attack his glands etc. I normally have him on homeopathic stuff for it
but
thought I'd take him off it and see whether he could cope without, whether he
has maybe
outgrown it. That was 2 weeks ago and now he is sick!

He was supposed to do a 20mile ride this coming weekend, more than fit enough
for it -
very disappointing it is the best ride on the calendar by far! I'll not be
doing it
anymore, but when can I start exercising him again. Assuming he is better and
almost
perfect by tomorrow, when would you start your horse after such an incident?

Andrea
