Re: [RC] what do you take to a ride? - rides2far

It depends on how long I have to pack. If I happen to get all the usual
stuff loaded with an hour to spare, I will walk around the house picking
things up imagining how they might come in useful and putting them in the
truck. The bad part is, that useless stuff goes in last, and it's on top
of all the stuff you need when you get there. :-P

This weekend was my all time lightest packing job. I rode Jody's mare, so
Josie and I went to the Trace Tribute in a Toyota Corolla. Neither Jody
(in her heated LQ!) nor I (in my dome tent) had a cup for our coffee (but
at least I had a pot to boil it in and she didn't) I had one plastic
fork for Josie and one spoon for me.

Jody showed me her version of how to get by packing light. When she
needed a wool saddle pad she stole one from Marie Threadgill's trailer
and practiced her apology the whole last loop. >g<
