OT, but since your info is incomplete...the CA-125 test is NOT  
conclusive--it does not generically rule out ovarian cancer.   My  
mother's was stage III before *surgical* diagnosis--and during the  
entire 4 1/2 years she fought it, it NEVER showed a positive result  
to CA-125.  It doesn't hurt to spend the money to take the test, but  
it is certainly no panacea.  She had symptoms similar to your friend's.
