You are, of course, right. My mistake.

Subject: RE: [RC] Micrograms to ml

anybody know how many micrograms to one ml? a
friend just called and is trying to find out as
she's supposed to give her horse some med. in ml but
it came with a microgram measurer.

Since one is a measurement of volume and the other is a measurement
of
weight, the conversion depends upon how many "pounds per cubic inch"
whatever the material is.

For water (at sea level and some specified temperature that I don't
remember), the conversion is 1:1.

Well, no, given liquid (water) measurement at precise conditions, a
gram
is a 1:1 conversion to a milliliter. A microgram is 1/1,000,000 of a
gram. And I think the original poster really needs to contact the
vet
who prescribed this, as there is no practical way in one's barnyard
that
one can measure such a tiny amount. I am also wondering if she means
mg
(milligrams) which would only be 1/1000 of a gram. Or if there is a
misprint, and the vet wrote mg and meant ml. In any event, I don't
think we can help her much via internet without more information.
