RE: [RC] Cattle injectable orally for horses? - heidi

I use cattle ivermectin mixed with propolyne glycol @
of 1 cc to 99cc for my dogs for heart worms and if
this cattle ivermectin is safe for horses orally, how
much would you give a 900 pound horse and a 200 pound
mini? Any hint?

Well, skip the propylene glycol... But more than a hint--the dose is 1
ml per 110 lbs body weight, and you want to err on the side of
overdosing, keeping in mind that unlike Quest, it is quite safe up to
10x the prescribed dose. So give the 900 lb horse about 8.5 ml and the
200 lb mini about 2 ml....

Heidi
