[RC] RC] Pasture Arrangements with Mares/Gelding - L gin

Huh? I have had may mare -only one in with 3 geldings for years. She is very quite in heat , only in the spring does she ever act slightly different. She gave a buck or two at the donkey (who was gelded last year right before I got him) when he sniffed her to close. Otherwise nothing. No big deal whe was rasied with one of the geldings, oNe thinks she is his 2nd mother, the the other old guy who other mares get fancey around when he has gone elsewhere is her grazing buddy.
It is a very stable herd. Maybe in unstable herds like boarding........... I also know a couple barns and they usually divide the mares and geldings--- but not always---seems like you just have to see who gets along with who---maybe some have more hormones than others ....................
