Re: [RC] [RC] Ivermectin, specifically "homeopathic use" - Sisu West Ranch

".... If not, no harm; no foul...."

Aside from a quick application of simple math and Avogadro's number proving that most recommended doses of Homeopathic concoctions, do not actually have any molecules of the alleged active substance in them, this case could have been caused by the reliance on Homeopathy, or anything else that did not treat the worms effectively.

The horse got sick and died because there were to many worms.   If the horse had been treated properly with modern pharmaceutical, chemical wormers, it would not have had buckets of worms and would not have died.

Note: Proper worming includes drug choice, amount, and frequency of worming, so please do not regale me with stories of rescue or other horses who died after receiving doses of wormer.  The bad effects of large numbers of worms dieing at one time are well documented.

The use of alternate therapies can be dangerous when an ineffective therapy delays or prevents the use of proper modern medical treatment.

PS.  I am not impressed with the claim that the vigorous shaking during the preparation of Homeopathic concoctions "potentates" the water molecules and they then carry the healing ability.
