Competitive Trail Ride
Louisiana Hayride CTR
Kisatchie National Forest in Melder LA (near Alexandria)
April 8-9, 2006 (check in Friday Apr 7th)
2 day ride Novice (15-20 miles/day)   Open (25-30  miles/day)

First-Sixth Place Awards for both Horse and Riders and LOTS of other awards and 
prizes.  All riders receive completion awards!

The dogwoods will be blooming on the shady Claiborne trails of the Kisatchie 
National Forest are permanently marked, mostly level, with sandy soil and good 
footing.
Campsite is the privately owned 4B Dude Ranch adjacent to the National Forest. 
4B is reserved for our private use for the weekend.  See website at 4Branch.com 
Judges and workers have priority for cabin rental, check with Ride Mgmt to see 
if cabin space is available for riders.  Camping fees separate and due to 4B at 
check in:  $20/night full hookups, $10/night primitive.

Overnight Stabling:  Horses will be stationary tied to trailers, few picketing 
opportunities will be available.

Check In:  Show ORIGINAL Coggins papers upon arrival and a volunteer will 
assist you with parking.  Pre-ride vet exam will begin at approx 2pm. Friday.

Meals:  Friday night Potluck Supper/Bring a dish to share and your own drinks.
Saturday night:  Benefit supper, contact ride mgmt for more details.

Entries:  Total Natonal NATRC members (includes drug fees etc):  Senior entry: 
75.00;  Junior Entry:  55.00. Not including camping fees.
Non NATRC entries total(includes drug fees etc):  90.00 (Junior 70.00) Ask 
about our  First Time Rider Discount/Refund of 32.00 (22.00 Juniors)!!
Checks payable to Louisiana Hayride Benefit CTR and mail to ride secretary.
Send copy of registration papers with ride entries in order to be considered 
for breed awards.

All proceeds from the ride will go to the Louisiana Equine Council.  The Trails 
Committee for this  new group is already at work developing a La Trail 
Directory, working to get  more equestrian access to LA trails and helping  
maintain equestrian trails already in the state.
