[RC] 10K/5K Horse miles - Ridecamp GuestPlease Reply to: Karen Nelson knelson4299@xxxxxxxxxxx or ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ========================================== Merryben- Trilby came to Wisconsin with Lad for the Kettle Morraine 100, a points champoinship race of 1988 and won the 100. I was there with Sierra Fadwah, and got pulled at 25 miles. I went with Connell, who was crewing for Trilby, and helped him crew her to the win. She was the 13th or so person on the USA list for Front Royal, and when she paid all the fees, and bought the passport, etc, then drove there with Lad, they passed over her for the higher alternate. They never did give her much of an explanation, but something about wanting a rider who finishes higher. She then had Connell drive her to Wisconsin, and she entered there, winning on Lad. As she got off at the finish, 20 minutes ahead of the locals, she said to us: "Now let them tell me I am too slow". Lad looked great.
