[RC] types of boots allowed for competition? - Ridecamp Guest

==========================================

I am looking forward to my first endurance ride this upcoming year. My mustang
has great feet and doesn't need shoes most of the time, but gets a little ouchy
when we start doing longer rides on the rocky trails. My farrier and I both
feel that using boots instead of shoes is the best choice for my horse, because
he only needs extra protection every now and then. My question is this- what
kind of boots are allowed for AERC rides? I heard that only Easyboots were
allowed because you can't use anything that comes over the coronary band, but
can't find anything in the rulebook regarding this issue. His feet are very
round and based on his measurments, I don't think Easyboots are going to be a
good fit for him- it looks like Old Macs will be best with Boas close behind.
Thanks for your help!
Andrea
