I can only speak for myself, Bruce, but I pretty much agree with you.

But having "put up with" silly stupid car (and truck) salesmen over the
years, where I usually know more about whatever car or truck I was
interested in buying than the salesman, an ad like this just kind of annoys
me.

I agree, the ad is just a fly speck, but fly specks are ugly... aren't they!
and they mean that flies are around.

   As I get older, I realize that I have to know my limitations if I am
to live happily and not spread myself too thin. I made a New Year's
resolution to reserve less time for "taking offense" and more time for
appreciation. When I am connecting with my beautiful 16 year old
daughter, or sharing a special dinner with my wife, or I am king of all
I survey when my horse carries me to new scenery and safely back home
again, I just can't muster the energy to worry seriously about some
corporate ad exec's poor judgement they exercised in trying to sell more
trucks.  I heard a phrase one time that always gives me hope when I
recall it: "It's true that the world is full of pain, suffering and
injustice. But it's also full of the overcoming of them." When we look
through the "window of the world," the Chevy ad is just a fly speck, in
my book. Here's hoping you can all happily exhibit as much honesty and
fruitful hard work in the coming year...............as your horse.
