Subject: RC: Horse Corrals at parks

Hi Karen,
Take a look at the January issue of EN. Our ride, the Turkey
Trot, here in California, uses Sweetwater Summit Park.
The park has corrals available on a first come, first serve basis,
and they allow our additional riders to high tie, trailer tie, build
their own corrals, etc. The park staff is great! The head ranger for
Sweetwater Summit
is Randy Hawley. He can be reached at: Sweetwater Summit
Regional Park/County of San Diego, 3218 Summit Meadow Rd.
Bonita, California, 91902. Phone: 619-472-7572
The park is beautiful and we were able to hold both a 50 and
a 25 mile endurance ride very successfully. People are already
booking campsites for next year a few days ahead of the ride
(i.e., the ones with the corrals!). Good luck to you in finding more
horse comfort zones!
Take Care,
Dr. Cynthia Hamberg, Ride Manager
