[RC] endurance prejudices - Agilbxr

When I first stated I wanted to do endurance on my Paso, I definatly got some
of flak about it. From VERY experienced horse people, I heard everything from:

"you're going to kill your horse"
"don't do endurance...if you must, do CTR. All the endurance riders do is run
their horses into the ground"
"You're going to ruin Alpine. He's going to turn into one of those horses that
won't walk, won't go in the back, and you'll lose his gait"

So far, Alpine has learned to rate himself, how to do a nice fast walk, how to
use his body while out on the trail, and his gait has developed very nicely.
My horse is now a much better and braver trail horse than the ones belonging to
the non-endurance people. Go figure.....

Juli and Alpine (got chased by kids on 4 wheelers yesterday, just wanted to eat
the 4 wheeler)
