I've ridden two horses with downhill backs.......one over 5,000+ miles. Don't 
despair!  The good news is you are aware of the issue.  Email me privately and 
I'll give you info on what I've tried, and what was successful.  I've used 
custom saddles, and shims with off the rack saddles.
