[RC] FW: WEC-USEF - FEI fact check - StephTeeterone more clarification: when I stated: 2. There is a difference in 'Nominating for' and 'Competing in'. The FEI rules state that a horse must be 7 yrs old to compete in a championship Endurance event. The nomination by US riders is made 15 months before the actual event. So a rider may nominate a 6 year old horse, but it must be 7 by the time of the championship. That is also the case right now. The difference being proposed is in the experience/mileage requirement of the horse for the Nominating process.>> I should have stated "ONE of the differences being proposed is in the experience/mileage requirement of the horse for the Nominating process" = there may be more, including National Team selection, size of National Team, etc. The mileage qualification change is only one proposal that I am aware of.
