RE: [RC] flax & nutrena's empower - Susan E. Garlinghouse, D.V.M.I like Empower a lot and I think it's a really good way to add fat to a horse's ration pretty conveniently (no, I don't get a paycheck from them for saying so). I'm still not quite convinced that all the OFAs are perfectly intact after processing, though a good proportion of them probably are. I guess if it were me, I would happily feed Empower (I did in Colorado), but would probably still top up the daily omega 3s with maybe just a quarter or half cup or so of ground flax. JMO. Their Empower suppliment looks like a good source for flax with other added benefits. Does anyone use this, do you vets out there think it's worth the extra $$ over plain flax seed? I was going to buy flax at the mill today but now I'm wondering if we should try Empower instead.
