RE: [RC] President's cup - Robin van der WegenThe reason could well be that they concentrate on recovering the heart rate (using ice and water) to enter the vet gate to stop the clock, little worry is placed on cramping and the tightening of the muscles from the cold iced water. Thus resulting in a horse that looks lame, most of these horses are sound when they warm up; they still have a lot to learn in the UAE. It is funny to see that most of the horses (20 on maybe 22) where eliminated for lameness. This means that they were not sound for this type of race or were put back on work too soon after a problem.
