[RC] My Thoroughbred - cynthia hamberg

Hi All:
I own and ride a TB in endurance. He is mentally fit--just needs a few more
turn outs on rainy days than my Arab. I find that he is better at 25 milers
than
at 50 milers, so I have pulled him into LD. Last ride, Warner Springs, he
received one of Terry Wooley Howe's BC blankets for all "A's" on his vet card.
He also saved a rider's life when he ran full speed down the mountain at the
Californios Lite to call life flight. In the process, he was jumping 3 foot
branches...
We were the only team willing to take a risk and get the proper help--about 20
other
breeds were backed up behind the fallen lady...As Jim Kirk, my shoer says,
"he's a fairly nice horse." Encanto Boy may not be
the mount for everybody, but there's a reason why my license plate says
TB *hand*ler!
Take Care All,
Cindy Hamberg
