Re: [RC] long ride-fact or fiction? - gary affleck

Smiley emoticon My thinking was along the lines of anybody that thought they rode 200 times had been hit, thrown, stomped on, kicked, broken, horned, sat down on,  blah blah, blah so many times they would not remember too much in detail anyway.  Getting thrown isn't really all that bad, it's all that stuff before and after that hurts the most.  Sorta like the fall doesn't hurt, it's that sudden stop at the end that'll get ya.      Smiley emoticon       G.Affleck

Subject: [RC] long ride-fact or fiction?

hi anna,   your calculation of the mileage that had to be covered each day would certainly shoot this story down.  most long distance riders of this nature (cross country)  would do well to average 25 miles per day.  as for the bull riding claims,  any bull rider who claimed that much riding experience would tell you that on average, he would get bucked off at least as many times as he made the buzzer.  just look at the rides/buckoffs ratio of some of the top pbr bullriders to substantiate this.  never a bull that cant be rode, but never a cowboy that couldnt be throwed!      cowboy ed
