Thank you, Karen, for the great website links - yes, I would love to have some
of your pictures of Tulip and Les, especially on the trail. Would you mind
emailing me two or three jpg?

I do have an email address for Les, but he's not answered, yet. Maybe I have an
old one. I did try to call him, too, and left a message on his answering
machine.

So Tulip bucks every once in a while, huh? Most of our's never buck, but once
in a while there is one that does. Most of the time, though, the owners find
out that there was a *reason* for the bucking. One of our geldings in Oklahoma
was bucking when she put him into a canter. I told her to find an equine
chiropractor and check him out (because bucking was not something this gelding
normally did). Sure enough, when his back was adjusted, she said you could
audibly hear the crack in his back, and he hasn't bucked since. This lady is a
nurse, and her husband is a doctor. Another one that went to bucking, it turned
out the saddle was hurting him big time. He had taken it and taken it, and
finally had had enough. Thankfully, they have the problem solved now.

How can I contact you privately, Karen?

I have lots of photos of Les and Tulip. Here are the most recent
ones: http://sunriseranchrides.com/2005/EMS2005.html

if you scan down, you'll run across a photo of a white horse with a saddle, no
rider. That is Tulip. He had just bucked Les off (this was on the 2nd day at
Mojave), and then proceeded to join our group (minus Les). Dave Rabe grabbed
Tulip by the reins and went back down the trail and said that he found "Les
lying on his back". I think that Les saw stars for most of the rest of the day.
I don't think I remember Tulip bucking Les off for at least a year before that.
Here is another link with more info on Tulip:

I have other photos if you need them, as well as Les's email address. Just let
me know. Karen in NV>>>>>>>>>
