I found that the way they size the bit can almost be like
women’s clothes. Each one is a little different. My mare is
small and uses a 5” bit, but I have found some 5” to be too
big. A ¼ to 1/8” will make a big difference. When I
want to get a new bit, I take the old one with me to use for a comparison.
