Re: [RC] Just a note - Barbara McCrary

One of my favorite Christmas presents, two years ago, was a Powder River cattle squeeze. I shamelessly begged for that one, as our old off-brand one was terribly dangerous and I was afraid of losing a couple of fingers every time I used it. The PR chute is so deft...I can catch a cow's head with my left hand while slamming the tailgate with my right. This year I received a new calf table, albeit a little early (in November), but I consider it a Christmas present. Some of us country women just like different kinds of gifts than the average woman does. The next generation is coming along in the same mode...we gave one granddaughter a 7-tool kit with carrying case...Oster grooming tools, including one of those wonderful mane and tail brushes. She was ecstatic, and she's the clothes-horse of the grandchildren. Well, one of two, anyway. Every member of our family has a horse: Three daughters, three sons-in-law, and four grandkids. Most of them have done endurance and/or ride & tie. Great lifestyle, if you ask me.

May 2006 bring all of you great adventures, delightful surprised, happiness and contentment.

Barbara

Boy howdy, I'm with you there! And what about all those crazy ads
telling men to get their wives diamonds? Heck, I just got a 1968 4WD
truck with an old prototype hydrabed on it for handling round bales,
and THAT's my idea of a cool Christmas present! If I had a diamond
ring, I'd prob'ly do what my sister did with hers--rasp the darn
setting off trimming feet.
