[RC] Cold feet - riding - Lysane Cree

Not sure where you are located, but if you have a snowmobile dealership in your area (or look on Internet), you might want to consider snowmobiling gear - they have some of the same issues to deal with as us - you sit for long periods and the toes don't get to move much so they get cold faster than any other body part. I just bought some socks from Bombardier - expensive but well worth it. I'd have to look on the label, but they are a blend of several different materials, including wool and polypropolene. They are knee socks and actually have a "right" sock and a "left" sock. There are also inserts for boots that are silver colored - often they are sold for work boots I think. Anyway, with the Bombardier socks and my Mountain Horse boots, I've ridden long hours (both horses and snowmobiles) in -20 C weather and have never had cold feet, for the first time ever. Sometimes just adding something extra to the boot you have works.
