[RC] Controlled Starts - Nat Nelson

I've been in some pretty hairy controlled starts.
Too many antsy excited front running horses crammed up
behind a slow pace horse, crowded, bumping, riders
trying to calm them down...really hated it. Not the
people's fault, just that the horses know what's up
and want to get on with it. If I was at a big ride
with a controlled start I'd definately just wait and
leave late. Let them get out there and spread out
before I got in the middle of it.>>

Interesting fact Angie. I myself have only expereinced
small rides with controlled starts. I will keep that
in mind if I ever find myself at a larger ride with a
controlled start. Thanks for the insight.
