[RC] To shoe or not to shoe? - Tom Sites

Hello,  To shoe or not to shoe is the basic question?  Darolyns' horse sure did good on the world arena, and when she showed me her horses feet they looked naturally beautiful and clean.  Talking with my farriar yersterday we got into the Barefoot question and he said he studied it years ago, but walked away when a speaker at a seminar he went to 15 years ago said..."All horses coffin bones are the same and can use the same angles, etc...."  He then walked away from it, and tho he was capable of providing the process, he also had to make a living and he did what his clients wanted, shoes.  He also said that it took so long for the process from shod to bare, took a long time to accomplish.  I know nothing and just observe and ponder and learn.

He also made BayMar blush when i told him he was 26,  he said he'd thought he was at least 7-10.  BayMar blushed and got his innocent grin and whispered....Orion...Vali... Brombe....and some other mumble i couldn't understand.

Its just a Debate, not a Crusade.
