Re: [RC] dangerous THEM versus US thinking - Chrystal

THANK-YOU  Lori :-) :-)
The very funny thing that I have been thinking as I read a lot of of this junk was "hey!!! That is EXACTLY what a lot of the world says about America , esp during events such as the Olympics!!!! "Too much money, power& influence, take their $ away and The USA wouldn't get nearly so many Gold medals." Man, the amount of times I have heard that!!

I have been on other international endurance chat sites and have read about how American riders ride too fast , how Endurance is becoming about $ in the US. is this true???  I am sure it is  true of SOME American endurance riders, but isn't it annoying to be painted with the same brush?
The French, Australians and Belgiums( who are in the top three).are THEY part of this underhanded group?? Should I be careful of any stranger with a French or Aussie accent coming to buy my endurance horse??????

Howard wrote      "THEY will postition themselves where they can control; an International Organization to  the extent where OUR sport has now become THEIRS?"

And since WHEN did the sport of endurance become an "American" sport???????????  Get over your self ( selves).

Congratulations to ALL the riders who finished with sound, healthy horses, they must be doing something right. :-)

Chrystal ( proud Canadian :-) ;-)  ))

What I've learned from them is they will do anything to win, buy

up all the competition's best horses, and, position themselves

where they can control an International Organization to the

extent where our sport has now become their

HOWARD. Do we have to GENERALIZE and border, if not tip over into the realm of RACISM? Because that is what you do when you use the all-encompassing category "THEY."

THEY will do anything to win?
THEY will buy up all the competition's best horses?
THEY will postition themselves where they can control; an International Organization to  the extent where OUR sport has now become THEIRS?
Since when does a sport belong to ANYONE? Just because something originated here doesn't mean it BELONGS to US.
Get a grip and back yourself up with specifics and facts -- not fear-based gerneralizations that make you sound like you hate ALL OF THEM.

Anyone who knows me for two seconds knows I care about horses more than any sport. But I care about people, too.

Why don't we try focusing on OURSELVES since we can't control THEM.

Lori
