[RC] Official Results - Jonni

I read the FEI statement as they are questioning why the Organizing
Committee presented the awards as they did, without talking to the FEI
first. I don't think results of a second drug test are in. I think the FEI
is ignoring it, as the O.C. did not follow protocol, and since the FEI was
unaware of the drug results, not consulted in it, they are keeping the
standing as they had them originally. Basically, a protocol was not
followed, so under the rules, FEI must keep the award standings as they had
them. My question is, can they consider the second drug test, and change
their mind?

The statement reads:
The FEI has today formally written to the Organizing Committee of the World
Endurance Championship asking for a detailed explanation as to why, without
prior knowledge of the FEI, the winner of the Individual competition Sheik
Hazza bin Sultan Al Nahyan (UAE) was not presented with his gold medal
during the closing ceremony.

The official results, as signed off by the President of the Ground Jury are
published on the FEI website. Those results remain unchanged.
