RE: [RC] Rain Gear - Betty Edgar

You never go wrong with Gore-Tex.  Each time I've tried to economize and get
a less expensive shell it hasn't worked.  Either it turns out not to be
waterproof at all and I get soaked with rain within seconds, or even worse
it IS waterproof but doesn't breathe and I'm soaked with sweat in a few
minutes.  Neither is what I have in mind.  Gore-Tex does require some
special care, as per directions on each garment, but IMO it's worth the
extra money and extra care.
