Incidentally, that word is pronounced "yay-hoo."  I heard it a long time ago from our daughter's college friend, who was a pretty good horseman.  He also used the term "ka-BOY" (instead of cowboy).  About the same as a rhinestone cowboy, in other words artificial or phony or just plain inept

Hate to say it, but there are some in that distance too.  Maybe "yahoo" isn't the correct term, but there are those who will run the bejesus out of their horse for the win.  :(
